It is time to let go of
what we do not need.
Sitting in alignment with
your heart, your mind, your spirit
feel the connection within your heart
with all that you are.
Just breath
feeling this connection.
Just allow the breath to move.
Keep this alignment with you all the time.
When you feel you have lost it
use it as a reminder to bring your awareness
back to the heart
to connect with the core of who you are.
Whenever we get distracted
we can always use that as a reminder
to connect with who we are.
Let go
Let go
of anything you don’t need in your life.
Focus your attention where it is needed
so those areas can grow and flourish.
Let go
of distractions.
Let go
of weight you feel pulling you down.
Let yourself be buoyant,
gentle, joyful,
breathing in the moment.

Your Reflection- Reflect on what this poem made you feel and think about. What inner guidance do you have for yourself? Once you have your own interpretation and message for yourself from your own heart and intuition, feel free to read my reflection.
Scot’s Reflection– I have been into doing tai chi and qigong for 20 years. They are Taoist relaxation, healing and mind/body/spirit integration practices. In the Taoist Chinese perspective Fall is a time of letting go emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. I was feeling that letting go energy today. I did a lot of letting go the last two weeks. I realized I was not teaching any courses this Fall so I let go focusing on the identity of being a professor. I have many other roles and ways of being. I participated in an ash spreading ceremony of a recently passed over friend last week. I let in a few ways due to that experience. Yesterday the road in front of our home was removed and repaved. I am learning how to let go of worrying more. I am letting go both internally and externally of what weighs me down to make room for the new.
